the distributive property Definition: The distributive property lets you multiply a sum by multiplying each addend separately and then add the products.

so you do this:

(3*4)+(3*
[tex] \frac{1}{5} [/tex])

the answer is:

12.6, or 12 [tex] \frac{3}{5} [/tex]
