R=x (A+B)
distribute
R=Ax+Bx
-Ax both sides
R-Ax=Bx
÷x both sides
(R-Ax)/x=B
Answer: B=(R-Ax)x or B= (R/x)-A
Check your work:
Plug in B
R=x (A+(R-Ax)/x)
R=x (A+R/x-A)
R=x (R/x)
