couldnt you just use the distributive property where you multiply 3 to A and multiply 3 to B which would equal 3a+3b

A(B+C) = AB + AC

This shows that A is distributed over B and C

Given the expression

  • 3(a+b)

W can use the distributive property by distributing 3 oveer a and b as show:

3(a+b) = 3(a) + 3(b)

3(a+b) = 3a + 3b Proved
