To calculate which is the best deal we must standardize all prices and compare them.

To do this we will divide the value by the number of ounces they have and thus choose the best one.

1.

[tex]\frac{1.99}{12}=0.165[/tex]

2.

[tex]\frac{2.59}{36}=0.071[/tex]

3.

[tex]\frac{3.99}{48}=0.083[/tex]

4.

[tex]\frac{4.59}{60}=0.076[/tex]

The price list by ounces would be as follows.

0.165

0.071

0.083

0.076

Best deal is number 2 0.071
