If AB = 9 centimeters, and BC = 12 centimeters, which does AC equal?

Assuming that point B is between point A and C points A, B, and C are collinear points, then AB+BC=AC. And because AB=9cm and BC=12cm, then 9+12=AC. Add those two together, and you get AC=21 centimeters.
