Sasha solved an equation, as shown below:
Step 1: 8x = 56
Step 2: x = 56 – 8
Step 3: x = 48

How many solutions does this equation have?

Incorrect, she should have divided both sides by 8. The answer should be x=7. There is only 1 solution to the equation because x is raised to the first degree. It is not a polynomial equation so there won't be more than 1 answer to the equation.

Incorrect, because when solving 8x=56 you need to divide by 8 on both sides leaving the answer as x=7. Therefore, Sasha is incorrect.
