Answer: Yes, they do so to some extent.

Explanation:

What holds a state or a society is laws. Once laws are being compromised to favour a party than the other the society would fail. The judicial system has to in all fairness ensure that equal rights and judgement is given to individuals across different state of life to ensure fairness and failure to do so will not be easily managed.
