u have a geometric sequence and ur multiplying each number by -1/2 to get the next term.
8 * -1/2 = -8/2 = -4
-4 * -1/2 = -4/-2 = 2
2 * -1/2 = -2/2 = -1
-1 * -1/2 = 1/2
1/2 * -1/2 = -1/4

so ur next 2 terms are : 1/2 and - 1/4
