Hi there!

The American Crisis was so persuasive because these essays that make up this collection show what Thomas Paine’s vision was for a self-governing country. Throughout the different articles Thomas describes the freedom and how non-chaotic America would be if it was self-governed and show how it would help everyone. General Washington himself was very inspired by Paine’s work.

Hope this helps !
