Is (-1,2) a solution of y=-5x+7

No, it is not. I will show you:

-1 = x  and 2 = y

2 = -5(-1) + 7

2 is not equal to 12. I hope this is right!

Gotcha!

When graphing this equation, (-1,2) does NOT cross on the graph. If you're are look for "m", the answer would be -5. So no, (-1,2) is not a solution to y=-5x+7.
